Why Multi Level Distributors Fail
Now that you have joined a MLM, direct selling company, network marketing company, now what?
Statistics show that unless you are making over $300 monthly, 90% will quit. Those making over $300 tend to stay in for life.
So obviously the goal is to at least recoup your initial investment and then pay for the products or services you need to stay qualified for your position. So why are so many quitting then bashing the business model?
In my experience it is due to 1. Poor leadership from your sponsor and upline, 2. unrealistic goals, 3. lack of training and knowledge, and certainly but not least 4. greed.
The business model of network marketing creates more millionaires than in any other type of business. Network marketing is a post graduate level course of instruction at the University of Chicago. The professor is a Harvard PhD. The independant business owner contributes approximately 25% of the GDP produced by small business owners nation wide.
All of us in the business have heard horror stories as well as the success stories. But the industry continues to flourish even in a down economy. The secret? Well if there were only 1 all of us would be millionaires.
There is no one formula for success, no one trainer, no one system, no one company, no one line of products, no one compensation plan. But what all of us have in common is perhaps more important than anything. We have a belief in our company and product that is unwavering. This is probably more important than anything. We Believe! If you don’t believe in your company then get out now before you fail and bash the industry. It’s not the industry! The industry will continue regardless of your participation.
I participated in a weekly call for over six months. The one and only thing I got out of the training was this; it’s about the relationship. Now, I’m talking about your prospect. But what about the relationship you have with your sponsor? What about the relationship with your upline, your downline, your crossline, your leaders? Are you lone gunning it or are you following a system of success?
The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result. If you always do what you’ve always done, you’re going to get what you’ve always got.
If you’ve bounced from one company to another and never really made good money, maybe it’s not the company’s. Have you read any books on our industry? Have you attended business training seminars from national trainers? Do you participate in weekly training or conference calls? Is your upline or downline on these calls with you? Do you use 3-way phone calls or meetings to your advantage? Do you have a business plan?
Any business needs to have a business plan for success. What’s yours? Does your sponsor or upline leader know what your plan is? If you’re a leader then lead.
Success is about helping others achieve their goals first. It’s not about you believe it or not!
Have passion for what you do. Have Faith, Confidence, and Belief in your Product, Service, and Ideas.
FCB in your PSI. If you need help then be humble enough to acknowledge to your sponsor or upline that you need help.
I want all of us in the industry to succeed regardless of what company you are in.
How may I serve you?
