You may well know of lots of methods of generating leads for your direct marketing campaigns but have you heard of Co-Registration? There are so many ways to get leads online: Google Adwords and other pay per click systems, search engine optimization and affiliates to name just a few. Co-Registration is possibly the most cost effective way to very quickly get thousands or even tens of thousands of leads.

So what is Co-Registration? Well have you ever signed up for a free email account or an online newsletter subscription? Often when you do this, after you have entered all your details, you will be sent to the next page which is a list of offers that you may also like to sign up to. All you have to do is tick yes next to the teaser ads that you are interested in. Your name and email address (and sometimes phone number and address) are passed on to the business that supplied that teaser ad.

Immediately the benefits may be clear to you for direct marketing. You only pay when someone has declared interest in what you are offering and has given you at least their name and email address. If you compare this to pay per click marketing (probably it’s most similar rival) the benefits are great. With Google Adwords you will pay once someone clicks on your ad. However you still have to convince them to opt-in to your email list. This means you will have to pay for a lot more leads to get an opt-in.

The cost of leads with Co-Registration varies depending on the Co-Reg broker you go to and the information you require. The more information you want from each lead the more it will cost. For example if you want the full record (full name, email, phone, address) this will cost you more than just getting the first name and email. There are benefits to getting more details however.

If you are carefully testing your sales rates (which you should be!) you may find that leads where you pay for name, email and phone number will convert at a much higher rate than just name and email. This could actually make it cheaper to get the extra details even if you never use the phone number, as the cost per sale could be cheaper. The reason behind this is the more details a potential customer is willing to give you, the more serious and likely to purchase they are.

There is a lot more to Co-Registration than can be explained here. If you visit the website below you will get lots more information and discover the subtle details and techniques that make all the difference.

To your achievement in 2007!
